Boulder County wanted a strong, light reflective industrial floor that would resist tough abrasive forces and most vehicular fluids.

Four hundred tons of grout was needed to fill the angular space between steel pipe and conduits.  Strict standards were required for the grout to withstand the thermal conductivity generated.  The grout also needed to be pumped over the 2000 ft. expanse.

The contracor selected US SPEC products that would help earn LEED points in several categories.  Scheduled for completion in 2010, this building is expected to meet the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED Platinium rating and is designed with the intention of becoming a Zero Energy Building as defined by NREL.

The project called for a pumpable, slow setting, concrete repair mortar and an overlay to prevent further damage to the concrete.
