Following extensive research, development and testing, US SPEC's newest product line Roca System was officially launched in March 2008. This line consists of innovative decorative concrete products designed to work together to create durable, high quality, decorative concrete surfaces.

The Roca System line consists of four products:

Roca Shake, a mineral aggregate, dry shake surface hardner
Roca Release, a powdered release with integral color
Roca Seal, a water based, natural finish, anti blushing cure and seal
Roca Shine, a high gloss, solvent based (25% solvents) decorative seal

In the coming months we will also be introducing a stampable overlay, an acid stain and a patching material under the Roca line.

Developed to allow our customers to support the growing popularity of decorative concrete, the Roca System products are available now. Please contact a US SPEC representative for more information on these exciting new products.

US SPEC Aqua Blue

US SPEC chemists and technicians work diligently to meet the many demands of the changing construction marketplace. Over the past months we have seen dramatic increases in the cost of petroleum and biofuel related products. These price increases, coupled with the increasing demand for green products, has led US SPEC to develop Aqua Blue, an organic, biodegradable form release.

Because Aqua Blue contains no petroleum and no biofuels, we feel this product will offer better price stability. In addition, Aqua Blue contains zero VOCs and will contribute to LEED EQ Credit 4.2.

TRAINING AND EDUCATION

US SPEC believes in professional development at all levels. Therefore, we offer a variety of forums to teach architects, engineers, and construction professionals about concrete construction and product solutions.

US SPEC UNIVERSITY

In-house, US SPEC has developed US SPEC University, a training module designed for our clients to expand upon their product knowledge as well as learn about our product line and application techniques. The training also includes a tour of the US MIX plant, R&D facilities, as well as an overview of our QC program.

AIA-CES

US SPEC is an American Institute of Architects Continuing Education Systems Registered Provider. Our Technical Director, Joel Levenberg, conducts regular training programs about various topics involving concrete construction, including concrete restoration and repair. In addition to providing useful information, these accredited sessions provide architects who are AIA members with CES Learning Units to fulfill their annual continuing education requirements.
