These pictures show ASTM C940 modified per PTI M55 for post-tension grout testing.  This specification allows for 0.0% bleed at three hours.  This test is important because research has shown that bleeding occurs within a PT strand due to “filtering” of the water up through the strand itself.  The water follows the path of least resistance along the strands and to the top of the grout.  This can cause corrosion and weaken grout.
