These photos show why it is important to clean and have dedicated sprayer cans. This is a project where a clear dissipating curing compound was sprayed from a sprayer that was also used to apply an oil based form release. The end result was a stained blotchy appearance that ultimately had to be removed with a pressure washer.
Best practice is to to have a sprayer dedicated to form oils and another dedicated to cure and seals. Care should be used when switching from water based to solvent based products as well. These won’t mix and can have adverse effects on the products.
Warm soap and water can be used to clean water based products before they dry. Solvents such as acetone or mineral sprints can clean solvent based sealer and oil based form releases.
